
Lou Reed, who originally co-founded the Velvet Underground, has died at age 71.
It is speculated the former front man has passed due to complications of undergoing a liver transplant earlier this year.
The Velvet Underground first found fame in the 1960s after artist Andy Warhol took a liking to the experimental group and introduced them to singer Nico. The band was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame in 1996.
